Since last year the number of timeshare companies and representatives has increased considerably in Cyprus and in all of its resorts.

As tourists are walking the streets, they are being stopped and pestered by couples riding along on scooters trying to entice them into a seminar for their timeshare resort. They are promised a gift or even given a couple of scratch cards which one will undoubtedly win, just to get the tourist into their offices for a 'hard' sell.

This is not in itself a bad thing, if you are looking to buy a timeshare. If not, then just say to the rep that you are not interested and walk away.

These reps are professional sales people and do not give in easily, remember just walk away.

Trying to explain your reasons for not wanting to be part of it, will fall on deaf ears and you will be wasting your hard earned holiday time.

Timeshares have had a really bad press in the UK, and there is a lot of material on the companies involved. If you are going to invest, then do some research prior and do not be pushed into a speedy commitment.
