The highway roadworks in Limassol have been progressing with speed the past few months, with the Ayias Phylaxeos overpass opening last week.

This make four out of six sections now open.

The last two sections:

• the underpass at the Linopetra intersection is expected to be open from May 2007
• the overpass at the Germasoya intersection is due for completion by the end of the year.

This will bring to end the nightmare drivers have been experiencing in Limassol for the past four years.

On its completion drivers will be able to drive from Nicosia or Larnaca to Paphos without stopping at the dreaded Limassol roundabouts.
