Visitors to Cyprus often complain that some things take an extremely long time to get completed.

This is very true since Cypriots like the saying 'Siya Siya' or 'slowly slowly'.

Pace on the island is very slow compared with that of the UK, France or Germany. The Cypriots can easily be compared to the Spanish and Italians who like things to complete in their own time, with no pressures.

For us who have lived the fast life, this can be very difficult to accept, but we just have to be patient.

Things will get done, eventually.
